Iona is undertaking a graduate placement with Tritonia Scientific having graduated with a MSc in Aquaculture, Environment and Society in 2022. Iona has recently completed a collaborative research project between Heriot-Watt University and Tritonia Scientific, where she evaluated the use of Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROVs) to survey and monitor aquaculture impacts on hard seabed. She has previous experience in using underwater photogrammetry to assess coral reef health and the impacts of environmental change. Iona has 10 years’ experience as a recreational diver achieving her Divemaster in 2020 in Greece.
