Kate joined Tritonia Scientific in January 2024 to provide maternity cover for our Operations Manager, and to assist on various aquaculture and other projects. Previously she worked in aquaculture (salmon farming) for 12 years, starting out as a benthic surveyor in 2011 and progressing to compliance manager within the company’s environment team. She therefore brings a strong understanding of aquaculture and its regulation in Scotland to her role. Kate obtained her BSc in marine science at SAMS in 2007, and subsequently completed a marine geology based PhD (also at SAMS) in 2012.
