Damaris is a Data Scientist working on the Civtech project within the Tritonia Scientific team. She earned a BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering in 2019 and is currently undertaking a PhD in Mathematical Ecology with The University of Oxford and ZSL. Her PhD research focuses on the spatial and temporal succession of coral reefs using photogrammetry-based methodologies. She has experience analysing large ecological datasets, utilising programming. She is also gaining expertise in WIO and Caribbean coral species ID. Damaris gained her HSE SCUBA certification in 2022 and has since worked on expeditions to the Mascarene Plateau with Monaco Explorations and to Utila, Honduras with Operation Wallacea, performing photogrammetry techniques and training others in the methods.
