Karl is a Post-Graduate Research Assistant at Tritonia Scientific. He graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a BSc (Hons) in Marine and Freshwater Biology in 2019 and from Heriot-Watt University (Edinburgh) with a MSc in Climate Change: Managing the Marine Environment in 2020. Karl operates and maintains Tritonia’s multibeam echosounder system and leads the collection, analysis, and integration of hydrographic data into photogrammetry and mapping platforms. He also operates Tritonia’s ROV and UGPS systems and is part of Tritonia’s photogrammetry team. He also researches and develops automated and machine-learning approaches for the detection and classification of photogrammetric outputs.
