Elaine is an Operations Manager, a Diving Technician and Recompression Supervisor at Tritonia. She graduated from the University of Malta with a BA (Hons) in Mediterranean Archaeology in 2002 and a MA (research) in 2006. Elaine worked as a freelance maritime archaeologist in Malta and participated on underwater and terrestrial excavations in Malta, Algeria and France before joining the NERC National Facility for Scientific Diving in 2008. During her diving career, Elaine has supported scientific research in temperate, warm water and polar environments and has conducted research into dive computers. Elaine is also a Research Assistant at the University of York where she conducts participatory research with maritime societies on heritage, sustainability and Ecosystem Services as part of the EU Pericles project and for her PhD.
